Aaron Morrison is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 25 years of experience in energy infrastructure, mechanical systems, and vertical construction, 17 of those years spent working in Alaska. Based in Juneau for over 12 years, Aaron contributes technical expertise and strategic insight to initiatives that strengthen Southeast Alaska’s infrastructure, economy, and resilience.
Before joining Southeast Conference, Aaron served in engineering and leadership roles with RESPEC and PCL Construction, managing complex infrastructure and energy projects for clients across the public and private sectors. His work includes significant capital efforts like the SLAM (State Library Archives Museum) facility and Juneau International Airport upgrades, with a focus on renewable technologies, energy efficiency, and sustainable design.
Aaron has developed extensive experience in estimating, planning, and implementation in both construction and design sectors. His collaborative approach and knowledge of Southeast Alaska’s energy systems have made him a valuable partner in regional efforts focused on electrification, biomass, and carbon reduction strategies.
A committed community member, Aaron is an active member on the board of both the Juneau Rotary Club and the Juneau Economic Development Council. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and both an M.S. in Engineering and an MBA from San Jose State University. His work continues to reflect a passion for local capacity building, energy reliability, and the long-term sustainability of Alaska’s communities.
When he’s not working, Aaron enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and 3 daughters—running, swimming, and camping throughout Alaska and beyond.
