Southeast Alaska Transportation Plan (SEATP)

Overview

With a storied history dating back to the 1980’s, the Southeast Alaska Transportation Plan has always been a long range plan.

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is currently updating the Southeast Alaska Transportation Plan (SEATP). This 20-year multi-modal plan will guide future public investments in transportation infrastructure across the region. Its goal is to enhance mobility for residents, goods, and services, addressing Southeast Alaska’s unique transportation demands. The plan encompasses various transportation methods, including air, water (ferries and other vessels), and land-based transport (roads, highways, trails, and access easements).
